On August 14, 2010, athletes from Special Olympics Malta and Special Olympics Germany played a demonstration game during the World Men Bowling Championships in Munich, Germany. This demonstration was the first ever Special Olympics demonstration during World Championships in any sport.

2010-06-30 GERMANY Hosts Congress on “Empowerment and Inclusion”
The fourth Special Olympics Germany Scientific Congress was hosted by the University of Bremen on June 18/19 2010. More than 100 participants registered for this congress with the theme “Empowerment and Inclusion of People with Intellectual Disabilities” , among them representatives of leading German Universities in sport, social, medical and educational sciences, National Sport Governing Body representatives, national, local and regional Special Olympics program representatives and family members and Special Olympics Europe/Eurasia staff.

Special Olympics RUSSIA Hosts 2010 National Games
The Games took place in Yoshkar-Ola, a community 1,200 km east of Moscow and Special Olympics Russia were offered the best sports venues from the Local Sports Leadership Council. This gave great comfort to all the coaches as these games were selection competitions for the 2011 World Summer Games in Athens.

ATP Tour Supports Special Olympics in Monaco
